Arrivals Evolved
Mother’s Day at the ballpark
Task
As focus shifts away from teams and more towards players and personalities, we feel the need to do a few things: supply players with quality content, leverage them as influencers, and highlight them on and off the field whenever we can.
The NBA has done a great job at posting photos of players arriving to the arena. It’s turned into a fashion show — people tune in, dissect, write stories, sponsor, and interact with what players are wearing. Most of these photos, though, are pretty basic.
Action
We decided to take a more proactive approach. We see every getaway day as an opportunity to get creative, setting up photoshoots, an orange carpet, incorporating different lights, capturing on video, the list goes on. I work with the content crew to brainstorm and execute these unique arrivals. We tip off players to these mini-events so they are prepared to showcase their style and personality.
Execution
Photoshoot stitched together for an interactive Instagram carousel. We utilized a white backdrop with studio lights.
Opening Day. We snagged our signature orange carpet and paired them with our season-long campaign lights.
Mother’s Day shoot with handwritten notes from players to their moms. For this, we had the white paper backdrop, a projector behind that, and a curtain and drape setup with our campaign lights to add to the pink in the foreground.
